part 3
BUSINESS 101
Be the cause, trust the effect.
hi loli babes•••
I am so happy you are here interested about the topics I post. I just want to let you know that you are such a big part of my inspiration for writing and how grateful i am that you’ve taken this time to invest in your growth. If you’ve been following along, you know this space is where I pour my lessons, my pivots, and all the in between of self development.
If this is your first time, i do recommend reading part 1 & 2 below.
Let’s dive right in!
Today we are talking about the
Cause and Effect Theory.
In business this is an analysis process of understanding why things happen and what results they produce. It is used a lot when making decisions or improving performance.
Today we will talk about :
“The ripple of every choice”
Every outcome we see today started with a decision, a moment, a choice we made long before the results ever showed up. Nothing is ever random. Everything connects.
When I look back on my own journey, I can trace it all. The cause was choosing to walk away from something that no longer lit me up. The effect was discovering a version of myself I didn’t even know existed. The cause was saying yes to opportunities before I felt ready. The effect was growth, not always graceful, but always real. I always kept my values in the forefront and closest to my heart.
In business, we call this the cause and effect principle: the idea that every result has a reason behind it. But for me, it’s more than a theory. It’s energy. What we pour in, we get back. Maybe not right away, maybe not how we expected, but always in perfect timing.
I’ve learned that being intentional about what I put into my work (the way I communicate with my team, the way I connect with my friends, the way I take care of myself) all of it shapes the outcome. When I pour love and purpose into what I do, that energy always circles back.
Every challenge I’ve faced had its own cause and effect too. The cause was doubt or fear or pressure to have it all figured out. The effect was resilience. Strength. A deeper sense of trust. It’s never really about the failure, it’s about what it awakens in you.
The other topics of the lola blog is here to help build that mindset, the habits and routines that generates the strength and the sense of purpose that we are here for. (Check out the other topics)
So if you’re in the middle of building something right now and it feels slow or uncertain, remember this: you are the cause. Your consistency, your effort, your energy, that’s what creates the effect. Every choice you make is planting something.
And one day, those tiny seeds you’re planting will bloom in ways you can’t even imagine yet. We just have to water and nurture them, reach out to like minded babes, surround yourself with people who will challenge you yet accept you as you are. Find the right community for you 🫂
Keep being the cause. The rest will follow. 🌿
Here is a small habit you can implement to help with your cause and effect:
Every Sunday I set aside time to reflect on what I want to accomplish for the following week. Prioritizing is so important for the cause and effect theory.
If you don’t have a calendar, I do encourage getting one— you can even do this on your phone. Align the things you need to do (the in between) where you are and where you want to be so that you have it mapped out.
—> the effect of you accomplishing small tasks/goals —> is the cause of stacking up wins and creating momentum for yourself
Hope this helps 🐛🌀🦋
With love,
LOLA
part 2
hi girlie 💕
welcome ✨if you are new to this topic scroll down for part 1.
I am excited to share with you business 101.
Everything and anything in between my experiences as a regional manager at a fast pace growing healthy care company and the tools needed to continue investing in yourself.
Things are built on trial, error, and a lot of resilience
What helps get people through isn’t some secret formula —it practicing to be resilient.
Resilience is one of the most important qualities you can have when building anything meaningful.
The truth is, there will always be challenges. Things won’t always go to plan. But what truly matters is how we respond, how we let those moments shape us, teach us, and push us to keep showing up with intention. It’s learning to balance discipline with surrender. To show up fully and then let go of the need to control how things unfold.
Resilience isn’t about being fearless or having it all together. From experience it looks like:
- Showing up on the hard days. Even when we don’t feel confident or clear, take the best next step.
- Letting go of perfection. We make mistakes, and we will keep making them. But we have to try to treat them as lessons, not failures.
- Creating small, steady habits. A morning routine, a moment of quiet, staying honest —these simple things that can keep you grounded.(routines and rituals)
- Trusting the bigger picture. Sometimes all we can do is pour our heart into something and release the outcome. That’s where the real growth happens.
- Be kind to yourself. Discipline doesn’t mean being harsh. It means holding ourselves accountable with compassion.
One thing I’ve seen again and again: when we lead with heart—without expectation, without needing anything in return—the energy always comes back in ways we couldn’t predict. Maybe not right away, maybe not how we imagined. But it circles back.
There’s something powerful about giving our best, staying aligned with our values, and letting go of the rest. That’s the rhythm I try to live and work in now. We get to wake up and create our day the way we want it, and it’s never luck that happens- it’s magic that unfolds with the momentum YOU create.
So if you’re somewhere in the middle of building, healing, growing. You’re not alone. Keep going. Stay open. Be gentle with yourself. Let the process grow you. Sometimes the setbacks are just guiding you to the version of yourself who’s actually ready for what’s next.
You don’t have to have it all figured out•
you just have to keep showing up•

hi lolis— welcome to BUSINESS 101
we are going to dive right into how it was started and the in between along with details will come later but just so you know let’s go all the way back. And then we will dive in to how you too can start a business what all that it takes to do so.
So get comfy, get that cup of tea or coffee and let’s talk business.
How It All Started:
From Dental Hygiene to Building LOLA LA’BEL 💫
Let me take you back to the beginning.
Before I ever worked with a sewing machine or picked out fabric, I was working as a dental hygienist. I loved helping people, but deep down, something started to feel off. That burning passion I once had for clinical work was slowly fading. I knew it was time to pivot—but to what?
I didn’t have the full answer yet, but I began the search. I started reading tons of books, attending dental conferences, and interviewing like crazy. Sales piqued my interest, but every opportunity felt a little off… until I met the team at NUVIA.
It was life changing.
They took a chance on me.
And I’m forever grateful.
Within just 6 months of starting as a sales rep, I was promoted to Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast. It was fast, intense, and exciting—but behind the scenes, something else was quietly growing.
We will talk a lot more about NUVIA in future posts and all about how the leader in me was born but in the meantime..
behind scenes I was building a business too.
The Birth of LOLA LA’BEL 💖
LOLA LA’BEL started as a creative experiment while I was still in transition. There was no grand business plan, no fancy launch—just an idea, a feeling, and a scrunchie.
We wanted to make something. We loved scrunchies and decided to try making our own. So we bought a sewing machine and watched YouTube tutorials like crazy. (Shout out to all the DIY girls out there 🤓)
That’s when it clicked.
The more we played with different fabrics and patterns, the more fulfilled we felt. It wasn’t just about making cute accessories—it was about expression, creativity, and connection.
Then one day, we thought:
“Wait… what if we made clothes too?”
So June 2020, LOLA got its name—and its soul. 🦋
•••
Here is what you really need to start your business :
real talk-
Starting a business isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about having the right mindset. If you’re thinking of starting your own thing, here are the 3 things you absolutely need:
- Creativity – Allow yourself to explore and play. The ideas will come.
- Willpower – You have to push through the self-doubt and show up anyway.
- Discipline – Consistency is what turns your ideas into something real.
We didn’t know what we were doing at first. We were experimenting, learning as we went, making mistakes, and laughing a lot. But we were doing it. We were creating.
“We” = all my girlie girls and all my personalities 🤓
Local LOLA babes were drawn in by the energy. The community. The good vibes. We built something together—something real and meaningful.
If You’re Dreaming About Starting Something… Do It.
Start small.
Start as a little project.
Keep a calendar. Check off your progress. Don’t focus on the outcome—focus on how much you’re enjoying the process. That’s where the magic is. ✨
You’ll grow. You’ll learn. You’ll surprise yourself.
And that curiosity? That’s worth everything.
We’re still on this journey, still creating, still learning. And if you’re on a similar path, we’d love to hear from you. Drop your thoughts, send your feedback, or just say hi.
And don’t forget—have fun with it. Always.
🦋
With love,
LOLA 🌸
